2014 China Festival at WMU

The bright yellow panda T-shirts shine again on the first China Festival at Western Michigan University.  Confucius Institute at Western Michigan University, along with several other Chinese organizations in Kalamazoo successfully held China Festival on Sept. 27 in Student Recreation center for the celebration of the First Confucius Day.  Confucius Day originates from the birthday of Confucius. The first Confucius day also celebrates the 10-year achievement of Confucius Institute around the world.

September 13-14, Confucius Institute at Western Michigan University participated in the Capital City Dragon Boat Race held by Women’s Center of Greater Lansing in Lansing, MI.

2014 Fall Registration under Way for Low-cost Chinese Culture Classes

KALAMAZOO--The Confucius Institute at Western Michigan University is accepting registrations for Fall Chinese culture classes that begin the week of Sep. 8, 2014.

The low-cost classes are taught by instructors from Beijing Language and Culture University and are open to the public. They meet once a week, are taught in English, and are offered to adults age 18 or older for personal enrichment rather than academic credit.
